Responsibilities

Compile and analyze utility data
Communicate the results of the reviews both verbally and in writing
Participate in meetings related to the regulation of investor-owned utilities
Attend training opportunities to obtain skills necessary for success in the position
Reviewing utility cost of capital, financial statements, and related testimony on utility finance and tax issues
Performing independent analyses of complex regulatory filings with respect to cost-recovery clauses, staff-assisted rate cases, and various other utility rate-setting proceedings
Performing technical work involving independent analyses of complex regulatory filings with respect to electric and gas investor-owned utilities, including processing rate proceedings
Reviewing and analyzing annual report filings for regulated investor-owned water and wastewater utilities
Performing technical work involving independent analyses of complex regulatory filings with respect to water and wastewater investor-owned utilities, including processing rate proceeding
Reviewing and analyzing annual index and pass-through filings for regulated investor-owned water and wastewater utilities

Required

Four years of relevant work experience in the area of accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, public administration, business administration or economics
An associate degree and two years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Ability to review, analyze and evaluate data
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
