Customer Service/Collections Specialist
FTS, Inc. is partnering with a long-standing client to hire a Customer Service/Collections Specialist. This role is essential in managing customer accounts, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely payments.

Responsibilities
Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure payments are made on time
Communicate directly with customers to address billing questions or concerns
Identify potential credit risks and evaluate accounts for possible bad debt
Reduce accounts receivable aging through proactive outreach and follow-up
Prepare weekly and monthly reports outlining account status and collection activity
Partner with customers and internal departments to resolve disputes quickly and professionally
Contribute to special projects supporting the Credit and Finance teams
Maintain active communication via phone, email, and other channels to ensure timely resolution of payment issues
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Previous experience in collections, customer account management, or accounts receivable
Intermediate proficiency in Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle client interactions professionally
Ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining positive customer relationships
Professional, personable, and collaborative approach
Ability to thrive in a corporate, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Comfortable working independently as well as within a team
