Responsibilities
Design and analysis of concrete foundations (both shallow and deep) for steel plate structures including flat bottomed cylindrical storage tanks, spheres, elevated tanks and other special structures
Provide reviews, comments and determination of soil parameters from factual and interpretive soil reports
Provide investigations and solutions on civil problems/issues in the field
Provide engineering design of special concrete structures including foundations
Provide engineering requirements for ground improvement/reinforcement methodologies to support steel plate structure foundations
Collaborate with drafters, modelers and detailers, as well as personnel from sales, estimating, operations and project management functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Structural Engineering and/or Civil Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited school
3 to 10 years of industry experience in civil structural engineering / foundation engineering
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Civil (Site Development) Engineer with 2D/3D CAD skills
Ability to work and build credibility across the business, up to and including senior management level
Preferred
Professional Engineering registered is desired
Preference is to have Bentley software experience, but willing to train
