Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and hands-on support to manufacturing teams, production supervisors, and associates
Analyze product and process workflows to identify cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency opportunities
Develop and refine manufacturing sequences to optimize operations
Collaborate with vendors to design and implement production-specific equipment and tooling
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices across equipment and processes
Create and optimize process layouts to improve production flow and efficiency
Partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance system performance
Lead and manage capital projects, including equipment specifications, budgeting, planning, and implementation
Support new product development and implementation in partnership with Product Engineering
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
1-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and production workflows
Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to generate reports and present technical information
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with arms
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions
Preferred
Experience with CNC programming is a plus
Familiarity with ERP systems, pricing software, and production analytics tools is a plus
