Regional Sales Manager

Eden Foods is a natural food company offering artisan, pure, organic pantry fare since 1968, seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest region. The role involves establishing and managing business relationships, improving product knowledge, and achieving merchandising goals for Eden Foods' products.

Responsibilities

Develop goals, strategies, plans, and tactics to establish and nurture business relationships, improve product knowledge, record data, and achieve merchandising for EDEN items
Become and remain up-to-date and knowledgeable about the industry, key personnel, and their developments
Participate in providing HQ with insightful sales projections
Manage budgets in concert with HQ Sales staff
Become and remain proficient in the use and understanding of Eden Foods' business systems
Work proactively with distributors, retailers, co-ops, eCommerce businesses, Eden food brokers, and Eden HQ
Manage, train, and direct Eden food brokers. Work to educate them about Eden and what it offers so they can help to achieve the desired results. Develop and maintain professional oversight of Eden Foods' brokers and the value they deliver to us
Business happens in writing. It requires relationships
Straightforward and forthright communication in dealings with people inside and outside the company
Distribute company messages to accurately convey Eden Foods' quality, services, and opportunities for win-win-win business results
Work with Eden Foods' Departments, drawing upon their strengths
Manage business consistent with Eden Foods' Terms of Sale. Matters non-compliant with the Eden Terms of Sale must be written and submitted as an Incentive Agreement (IA) in a timely manner
Become competent with and a reliable user of Eden Foods' business systems. Become proficient in the use of Salesforce (CRM), Eden Foods' digital network, and AcctVantage (ERP)
Help oversee and protect Eden Foods' rights related to its trademarks and intellectual property, such as copyrights

Required

Professional background or experience a must
Knowledge of natural foods a plus
Education and experience suitable for performing Sales Management tasks in the food industry
Ability to build sound business relationships with other professionals
Organizational skills with attention to accurate detail
Ability to communicate in a straightforward and forthright manner within the company and with others
Reliable follow-up and follow-through
Sound written, verbal, and computer skills
Forward-thinking entrepreneurial willingness, initiative, and enthusiasm
Be able to travel independently
Professional maintenance of reliably high moral and ethical standards
