Responsibilities
Build trusting, positive relationships and align individual needs with their goals
Act as a passionate advocate, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves
Identify opportunities for greater independence in work-related tasks
Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, mobility assistance, and personal care
Administer medications accurately in accordance with NJ state regulations
Perform basic nursing procedures such as injections and tube feedings (if applicable)
Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs)
Advocate for individuals and collaborate with families, care teams, and community resources
Complete timely, accurate documentation of care, treatments, and medication administration—an essential skill in every nursing role
Implement positive behavior support strategies
Utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, supportive environment
Qualification
Required
Active New Jersey RN License (required)
A passion for supporting individuals with I/DD
Strong communication, professionalism, and time-management skills
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background checks per NJ regulations
