Responsibilities
Work on cutting edge projects focused on gamifying and building unique features into our fantasy and sports betting products
Design and develop clean, well-structured, and performant features — your work will be used by millions of our customers
Work closely with other product-minded individuals to shape and deliver the next wave of transformative fantasy and sports betting products
Collaborate with client engineers and product stakeholders from start to finish, openly communicating issues, asking clarifying questions, and raising concerns when needed
Advocate for best practices to create strong foundational development practices for our growing team
Grow in a high-agency environment where you have equity in technical decision-making and are accountable for those decisions

Qualification
Required
A product-minded engineer with 6+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 1 year as a senior engineer
At least 2 years of deep experience with Ruby on Rails
Familiarity with CI/CD, AWS, and modern DevOps tooling
Strong understanding of SQL, observability (e.g., Datadog, Amplitude), and API design
Skilled in scaling distributed systems, handling performance, caching, and database optimization
Comfortable working across the stack and collaborating with product and design to ship great user experiences
A clear communicator and empathetic teammate who values mentorship and feedback
Preferred
Experience in fantasy sports or sports betting (or a strong interest!)
Worked at a company through periods of rapid growth or scale
Experience building highly scalable and available systems to handle high traffic conditions with low latency
