Auxiliary Accounting Student Analyst
The University of Georgia is the state’s flagship university and is currently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the U.S. They are seeking an Auxiliary Accounting Student Analyst to support the review and audit of general ledger details, assist with financial analysis, and perform reconciliations. The role requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities
General ledger reviews for various general ledger accounts, including but not limited to depreciation expense, salaries/fringe benefit expense, FMD charges including Utilities and other Direct Charges
Assistance and maintenance of monthly financial analysis review that includes fluctuations (actuals vs. budgets and current year actuals vs. prior year actuals)
Understanding and ability to perform reconciliations for various accounts (Prepaids, Inventory, Unearned revenue) and assistance of journal entry initiation, as assigned for monthly and fiscal year end. Including adjusting, correcting, reclassifications, etc
Validation & verification of monthly financial statement (progress reports) and other financial reports, as assigned
Conduct and document camera/cash audits, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current student in the Tull School MAcc graduate program
Accounting/Finance, and related business field
Must have proficient, effective and clear writing/communication skills
Sitting for long periods using a computer
