They are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic MEP team, responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement integrated electrical systems from scratch
Perform electrical calculations, including load analysis, breaker sizing, conduit and wire sizing, voltage drop, and fault current
Conduct hazard analysis and develop effective mitigation strategies
Ensure designs comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards
Develop and document system configurations and design methodologies
Create electrical design drawings, installation procedures, and engineering reports
Oversee work of Electrical Designers, including drawings such as single-line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, lighting plans, and installation details. Review design drawings, specifications, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and quality
Assist in the evaluation of designs to meet operational and cost-effectiveness goals
Support cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project objectives and timelines
Ensure electrical designs comply with local codes, regulations, and industry standards
Research and specify commercially available equipment to meet project requirements for electrical systems
Interact with clients to understand project needs and address design issues or changes
Help manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
Minimum 1 years of experience with power distribution and lighting system projects, ideally with commercial projects
