Electrical Engineer - Communication and Track(C/T) I/II/III
Amentum is involved in launching people to the Moon and Mars, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer for their COMET contract at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The role involves performing engineering tasks, conducting system tests, and supporting the development of Radio Frequency Telemetry for ground processing and vehicle launch.

Responsibilities
Perform engineering tasks in support of the C/T engineering group
Conduct system tests (software and hardware), collect and analyze data on equipment performance. Troubleshoot equipment/system anomalies
Initial assignments will focus on development of Radio Frequency Telemetry used during ground processing and vehicle launch throughout the full development cycle including requirements development, testing, and operational use
Candidates will be required to apply knowledge of technical principles, vehicle processing operations concepts, ground to vehicle interfaces, and vehicle/ground system design and operation. Additional responsibilities in system training, vehicle processing, and launch certification will follow
Candidate will perform engineering work in preparation for assembly, test, processing, and launch of NASA's Space Launch System in support of the Artemis program
Candidate will be expected to accomplish testing & operations independently (software and hardware testing), and act as Task Team Leader for assignments involving C/T
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited engineering school
4 years of related work experience for Level 2 candidates
10 years experience directly related to Aircraft / Spacecraft / Launch Vehicle electrical systems test & processing for Level 3 candidates
Ability to climb stairs in order to access equipment for troubleshooting
Ability to wear hearing protection, eye protection and other associated personal protective equipment
Ability to sit, walk, stand, and use stairs extensively
Ability to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency
Ability to work inside and outside throughout the test complex
Ability to travel to different areas on site
Ability to walk on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand
Ability to climb ladders and platforms
Ability to complete all work in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards
Ability to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication
Ability to travel to support position requirements
Must comply with all 'drug free workplace' requirements
Government security clearance may be required in the future
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
Must be dependable and punctual
Shift work may be required

Launch console experience a plus
Software development (Unix, Python/C++) experience a plus
