Effective multi-tasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Working knowledge of computer applications to successfully navigate practice management systems
Provides consistent high-quality verbal and written communication with providers, adjusters, case managers and patients
Completes administrative review of received medical records and treatment notes to ensure completion, accuracy, and program compliance
Maintains all records and reports with accuracy
Obtain and process authorizations for continued care of the injured worker
Qualification
Required
1- year experience working with Workers' Compensation cases
High school diploma/GED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn and retain company policies, state and federal policies, and workflow processes
Knowledge of worker's compensation
Knowledge of physician group operation and clinic policies
Knowledge of authorization and verification processes
Skill in the billing authorization process
Skill in obtaining necessary approvals for Worker's Compensation to reduce denials
Ability to proficiently use arithmetic calculations in data collection and interpretation
Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians, management, and other staff
Ability to communicate openly and honestly with management and staff
Preferred
Athena experience is always preferred
