Wealth Associate

The Washington Trust Company is seeking a highly motivated Wealth Associate to join their team. This role provides administrative and analytical support for wealth administration and investment management, assisting Wealth Advisors in delivering exceptional client service and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key administrative resource for Wealth Advisors, ensuring smooth client service
Handle account opening and closing processes, prepare annual account reviews, and maintain accurate client records
Process fund movements, deposits, and asset receipts with precision
Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting materials; manage scheduling and follow-up
Maintain data in our system of record and ensure key client milestones are recognized
Support clients with tasks such as bill payment, cash disbursement, and routine inquiries
Perform quality assurance checks and maintain compliance with established procedures
Collaborate with Wealth Advisors on client documentation, beneficiary updates, and account maintenance
File, research, and obtain information needed by Wealth Advisors

Required

3+ years of experience in account administration within a wealth management environment (investments, securities, banking or financial planning preferred)
Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with platforms like Black Diamond or Schwab is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree desirable
Curiosity to research, review and follow through while working collaboratively in a strong team environment
