Responsibilities

Perform sub-assembly and final assembly of LiDAR sensors, including PCB, flex, and mechanical integration
Conduct electrical and functional testing to confirm sensor performance
Package, label, and prepare finished units for shipment
Support process development by identifying improvements to tools, fixtures, and work instructions
Track build materials and inventory to maintain accurate records
Train and assist other technicians and team members during builds
Keep the assembly area organized, clean, and ESD-safe
Report build progress, issues, and improvement ideas to the engineering and manufacturing teams

Required

Associate degree or hands-on technical training in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly and testing
Skilled in high-precision electronics sub- and final assembly, using hand tools, gages, fixtures, and performing basic electrical testing and calibration
Comfortable reading assembly drawings, test procedures, and work instructions
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced lab environment

Preferred

Experience assembling or testing LiDAR, optical, or sensor systems
Familiarity with inventory or build-tracking systems
Prior experience training or mentoring other technicians
Understanding of cleanroom or ESD-safe handling practices
