Responsibilities
Lead end to end response for significant cyber incidents, acting as incident commander when needed
Perform in depth triage and investigation across SIEM, EDR and email security platforms
Review and tune alerts, rules and playbooks to reduce noise and increase fidelity
Coordinate with engineering teams to improve use cases, data sources and control coverage
Contribute to forensic investigations and malware analysis during major events
Prepare concise incident documentation, playbooks and reporting for management
Support implementation and migration of security tools as the environment evolves
Help shape the roadmap for incident response and cyber defense services
Qualification
Required
7 or more years in cybersecurity with at least 4 years on an incident response or cyber defense team
Proven experience leading incidents across multiple stakeholders and systems
Strong skills with enterprise SIEM and SOAR platforms, including rule logic and playbook workflows
Hands on experience with endpoint detection and response and host based investigation
Deep log analysis and correlation skills across large and varied data sets
Working knowledge of email security, phishing response and user reporting flows
Solid understanding of network and infrastructure fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, proxies and packet capture analysis
Familiarity with both Windows and Linux security
Practical scripting ability in Python or PowerShell
Clear written and verbal communication, including executive ready summaries
Preferred
Background in financial services, healthcare or other highly regulated environments
Experience with malware analysis, digital forensics and YARA or similar techniques
Exposure to advanced sandboxing or binary level inspection technologies
Demonstrated use of automation or AI driven approaches that delivered measurable IR improvements
