Intern - Museum Director (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is offering a summer internship for the position of Museum Director Intern. The intern will assist in managing museum operations, including display creation, educational programming, and customer service.

Responsibilities
Working with campground hosts, campground attendants, volunteers, and the public in creation of museum displays
Research
Educational programs
Large event management
Artifact maintenance and restoration
Building maintenance and restoration
Customer service such as but not limited to: events, guided tours, classes, and checking in and out of the POS system
Interaction with the public during private and public events
Work as a team and also on their own
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
