Product Developer

Workwear Outfitters is a leading supplier of work apparel and footwear, based in Nashville, Tennessee. They are seeking an Associate, Product Development who will assist in executing new product developments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches.

Responsibilities

Accountable for all product development activities for assigned brand and/ or categories
Accountable for the product development timelines and deliverables
Accountable for ordering samples, timely routing of audits, approval/rejection of samples (fit, design and raw materials)
Primary contact for Merchandise and Sourcing PD on changes needed to existing product
Accountable and makes decisions regarding fabric, color, findings, and fit, as defined by Merchandise partner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date product data in PLM and other systems throughout the process
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for cross-functional meetings and project updates
Conduct all sample activities, initiation, sample tracking, approvals, and communication between internal teams and external partners
Accountable for calendar adherence and flag potential delays or issues to the Manager, Merchandise & Brand Team
Support cost tracking and documentation for new and existing products
Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the team’s continuous improvement efforts
Assist with ISO documentation and compliance activities as needed
Provide administrative and operational support to the broader Product Development team
Reports to and supports the Manager- Product Development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Apparel, Product Development, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience in product development, sourcing, or related apparel industry roles
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PLM systems is a plus
Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team setting
Travel expected to support Supply Chain partners and product activities
