Responsibilities

The FSE will provide planning and support for F-35B/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and processes. The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine, aircraft, and unit personnel
This position will work closely with P & W Customer Engineering, F-35 units aboard the Air Station and leadership as well as follow-on units as they are added to the base to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P & W, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin and the US Government
The Marine Corps units at MCAS Iwakuni have one of the highest operational tempos in the DOD and are deploying aboard ship or go on detachments to land bases frequently. The FSE will need to be able to support and manage support for this OPTEMPO
Expected travel, and shipboard operations support are required and part of the FDNF team concept. The applicant should expect to be on travel or providing shipboard support for approximately 30% of their time
Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives

Required

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in an engineering or related technical field. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has propulsion experience
8+ years of professional experience in engine maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required, including supply chain management and Support Equipment management
Experience with US Marine Corps Aviation to include shipboard and remote site operations
Must be able to travel or provide shipboard support for more than 30% of the year. Shipboard support requires passing a shipboard health physical
Must be U.S. Citizen due to government contracts. Candidate must possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or be able to secure one for position requirements. Candidates that have had a clearance that has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may apply for consideration

Preferred

Knowledge of F135 turbine engine theory and operation
Experience on the F135 engine and associated programs to include Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)/OBPHM
Background in ITAR/ITC is desired for this assignment
Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
