Responsibilities

Conduct functional tests to isolate issues, analyze in-flight data, and determine corrective actions
Identify wiring discrepancies, replace defective units, and perform necessary modifications using diagrams and service instructions
Execute wiring repairs and system adjustments to meet operational and regulatory standards
Accompany pilots to validate repaired or aligned systems for optimal performance
Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and written instructions to complete tasks accurately
Ensure all work meets FAA procedures and safety standards

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting and repair
Knowledge of electronics and ability to use test equipment related to avionics systems
Familiarity with avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director, and pulse equipment (DME, transponder, weather radar)
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, aircraft orders, and written instructions

Preferred

Two years of college or technical school
