Responsibilities

Design and develop enterprise-grade technology solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability
Build and integrate AI-driven components, including foundation models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering techniques
Utilize modern development methodologies with a cloud-first approach, incorporating automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Mentor developers on best practices
Lead and participate in design and development meetings using Agile and traditional methodologies
Create comprehensive documentation for technical design, system specifications, and test outcomes
Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and AI workflows
Participate in an on-call rotation for production support

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of software engineering experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, Java)
Proficient in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and using API documentation tools
Skilled in designing data solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including schema modeling, complex queries, and performance tuning
Experience with AI concepts and platforms, including model integration, prompt engineering, and automation workflows
Experience in building responsive web applications using modern web development concepts like TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Blazor)
Skilled in deploying and managing cloud-native applications
Proficient in version control workflows and collaborative development practices
Advanced expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Capable of writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Experienced in working within Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred

7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and overfitting/underfitting
Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and transformer-based architectures
Experience with prompt engineering, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning techniques such as LoRA and PEFT
Familiarity with evaluation pipelines and metrics for model performance and quality (e.g., perplexity, BLEU, semantic similarity)
Experience in authoring and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
Proficient in designing, provisioning, and managing cloud infrastructure using best practices
Knowledgeable in automated testing, build, and deployment strategies for backend and containerized applications
Understanding of AI security and ethics, including prompt injection mitigation and compliance considerations
Skilled in supporting data and process governance of distribution system compliance in accordance with company policies, standards, and SOX requirements
