Expense Management Finance Director

Responsibilities
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Analyze the global corporate real estate portfolio expense and present recommendations to leadership to improve financials and highlight savings opportunities
Support strategic decision making by providing in-depth financial analysis on complex real estate transactions including sale/leaseback, dispositions, consolidations, acquisitions, renewals, and subleases
Manage multi-year financial plans for Morgan Stanley's real estate portfolio by partnering with Corporate Services to include updated strategic and operating plans
Qualification
Required
Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance or related business field
At least 8 years relevant experience would be generally expected to find the skill level for this role
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, ability to drill through to root cause of issues
Expert level knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to easily synthesize data for reporting to senior management
Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams - proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability
