Responsibilities
Collaborate with the extended software development team to contribute to software features, bugs, and enhancements
Develop and maintain reliable, field-serviceable, and maintainable software components in a Linux environment using Python, Golang, or C/C++
Engage with customers and support teams to diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring a customer-oriented approach is prioritized
Conduct root cause analysis of complex distributed systems issues, implementing corrective actions for product and documentation improvements
Build and refine automation tools to enhance efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and reduce triage time within the team
Participate in extensive learning opportunities to quickly assimilate into the team's technology stack and processes
Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with Development, Test, Documentation, and Product Management teams to deliver high-quality products
Achieve deep technical specialization in key areas such as Nutanix AHV, infrastructure, and lifecycle management to drive innovation and product improvement
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa, such as an F-1, H-1B, or TN visa
Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 1–2 years of industry experience
Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems or expertise in Windows for back-end systems programming
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, VPN, SDN, Micro-segmentation) with troubleshooting experience
Experience with virtualization technologies such as Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) or VMware, with a primary focus on Nutanix AHV
Development experience in a distributed systems context, encompassing complex system interactions
Effective collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt, demonstrating passion and high intellectual curiosity in technical problem-solving
Preferred
Rock-solid programming ability in Python (preferred), Golang, or C/C++, with a focus on enterprise-quality software development
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, with 1–2 years of relevant experience
