Sales Manager

ChemPoint is transforming the chemical, ingredient, and industrial finished products industry. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to retain and grow global sales while managing a multi-disciplinary sales team.

Responsibilities

Set sales territories, define resource needs, and collaborate with internal and external resources to fill those needs
Establishes annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industry that successfully integrate with overall business team or company strategies
Participates in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and attaining new business
Sets quarterly performance expectations and coaches, trains and aligns employee performance in all global interaction centers to attain product line objectives and targets
Participates actively in Recruiting and Employee Life Cycle Management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks
Provide training to help develop sales skills and abilities within your team
Define and refine ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations

Required

4 year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other related discipline
Experience in business to business sales organization or 5+ years equivalent technical sales experience
Experience with customer and territory management
Sales and/or leadership experience with strong desire to develop professional career
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong telephone skills, active listening skills, consultative selling skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills is required
Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis
Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities

Preferred

CRM and/or other database experience highly desired
