SAP Finance Architect (Utilities)

ObjectiveERP is seeking a SAP Finance Architect to lead the design and implementation of finance processes in SAP. The role involves integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance with various financial applications and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, build, and support of end-to-end finance processes in SAP, integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance with key edge systems like Utilities International, PowerPlan, BlackLine, and other financial applications
Design and implement comprehensive SAP Finance solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices, configuring and optimizing SAP FICO modules (GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, COPA)
Implement and support FERC accounting structures, allocations, and reporting requirements
Lead SAP Finance workstreams in large-scale transformation programs, developing and maintaining the SAP Finance architecture roadmap for scalability and compliance
Lead integration efforts between SAP Finance and edge systems
Conduct complex workshops with business and IT stakeholders, guiding teams through WRICEF design and deployment
Support post-go-live phases, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Collaborate for seamless system integration and data flow
Contribute thought leadership through articles, white papers, and speaking engagements

Required

Lead the design, build, and support of end-to-end finance processes in SAP, integrating SAP S/4HANA Finance with key edge systems like Utilities International, PowerPlan, BlackLine, and other financial applications
Design and implement comprehensive SAP Finance solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices, configuring and optimizing SAP FICO modules (GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, COPA)
Implement and support FERC accounting structures, allocations, and reporting requirements
Lead SAP Finance workstreams in large-scale transformation programs, developing and maintaining the SAP Finance architecture roadmap for scalability and compliance
Lead integration efforts between SAP Finance and edge systems
Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements for month-end closing, SEC filings, and regulatory compliance
Conduct complex workshops with business and IT stakeholders, guiding teams through WRICEF design and deployment
Support post-go-live phases, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Collaborate for seamless system integration and data flow
Contribute thought leadership through articles, white papers, and speaking engagements
Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and edge system integration
In-depth knowledge of FP&A processes, FERC accounting, and SAP allocation setup
Proven experience in the Utilities industry, including regulatory compliance
Hands-on experience with document splitting, cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis (COPA)
Experience with Central Finance, SAP IS-U (Utilities) including CIS, Billing, and meter-to-cash functionality
Strong understanding of integration points with other SAP modules
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines
Familiar with PowerPlan, BlackLine, and Utilities International integration
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or Accounting (with strong IT background) or similar related field
Experience: 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance (FICO) with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations
Regular driver's license, knowledge of S/4HANA, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, PMP or comparable certification, and ITIL certification for Service Delivery Management
