Responsibilities

Assemble electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, circuit boards, and wire harnesses into larger systems
Read and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, detailed work instructions, and technical specifications to determine material requirements and assembly procedures
Perform skilled hand work, including soldering (through-hole and surface mount), crimping, and wiring to create secure electrical connections and harnesses, following proper techniques to prevent defects
Mount parts and components securely into casings or larger assemblies
Conduct tests and inspections of products and subassemblies using testing equipment (e.g., multimeters) to verify functionality and ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications (such as IPC standards)
Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures, including proper handling of sensitive components (e.g., electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection) and maintaining a clean and organized work area
Maintain accurate records of the assembly process, test results, and any issues encountered during production

Required

High school diploma or equivalent is typically required
Must be team oriented and able to communicate and interface with others to execute manufacturing schedules
Manual Dexterity. Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for working with small parts
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints and perform tasks like soldering and wiring
Proficiency in using hand tools (pliers, wire cutters, screwdrivers) and specialized equipment like soldering irons. Knowledge of electronic components and basic circuit functionality is essential
Ability to comprehend specifications, production requirements, procedures, and production drawings
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Must be a US citizen

Preferred

Relevant industry certifications, such as J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 soldering certification and IPC/WHMA-A-620 can be highly beneficial
Relevant military experience in electronic equipment or applicable trade school training is a plus
