Burnt is building an agentic OS to replace legacy ERPs and automate supply chain operations in the food industry. The Founding Fullstack Engineer will play a crucial role in developing AI-driven solutions and leading the engineering team to shape the future of the product.

Responsibilities

Architecting our core AI agent system from the ground up
Making critical technical decisions that will shape our product's future
Building and leading our engineering team and culture
Working directly with founders to shape product strategy
Design and implement autonomous AI agents that can understand and execute complex supply chain workflows
Build reliable orchestration systems for LLM-powered applications
Create scalable integration patterns with existing ERP systems
Develop robust monitoring and safety systems for AI agents
Architect cloud-native infrastructure ready for enterprise scale

Required

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Python and core data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
3+ years of frontend development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proficient in modern frontend frameworks like React.js and Next.js
Experience building real-time UIs using WebSockets and/or real-time databases
Strong understanding of various database types: relational (SQL), document, columnar, key-value, and graph
Proven experience building production-grade AI agents and workflow systems, including observability, evaluation frameworks, and memory management
Skilled at optimizing small language models for scalability and accuracy
Comfortable deploying across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Deep understanding of AI safety, security, and compliance best practices

Preferred

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field
Strong machine learning foundation with a pulse on the latest in Generative AI
Experience building frontend applications with Next.js
Familiarity with Agile development practices and fast iteration cycles
Natural leadership and clear communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and move fast
Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
Open-source contributions or personal ML/AI projects
Experience scaling ML models in production environments
Solid data engineering skills—pipelines, transformations, and infrastructure
Understanding of GPU infrastructure and model optimization for performance
