Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation for Integrated systems and equipment software systems, including Software Requirements Specification, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Software Master Test Plan, Software configuration Management plans and others

Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality and ensure compliance with customer requirements

Collaborate with development engineers and program managers to gather and clarify technical information

Review and analyze source code and software designs to ensure documentation accurately reflects system behavior and architecture

Support software changes and compliance reviews through well-prepared documentation packages

Maintain configuration control of all technical documents and test artifacts

Provide cross-team support by identifying gaps in documentation and suggesting improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years' experience in software development

Ability to read and interpret code in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python)

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts

Experience working with software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and defect tracking tools

Preferred

Experience supporting government or defense contracts with knowledge of compliance and security standards

Familiarity with DoD or government documentation standards (e.g., MIL-STD, IEEE)

Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams (hardware, software, systems engineering)
