The Quotations and Technical Support Specialist will manage pricing structures, provide quotations, and support technical inquiries while collaborating with sales and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Managing accounts and pricing structures
Manage Quotations to all customers for both catalog and custom products
Develop an understanding of market level pricing based on territory
Collaborate with distributors and end users in structuring pricing to maximize both bookings and gross margin
Institute and manage price increases as needed
Project Negotiation. Provide strategic pricing based on the size of the job, similar opportunities in the territory, and the relationship with the customer
Provide accurate pricing on custom products based on similar product designs
Maximize margin attainment while considering current market price, previous sales history, and all cost increases
Review all competitors in the market and develop a full understanding of their capabilities
Work closely with Quotations and Regional Sales Managers to maximize margins while focusing on corporate goals
Cultivate strong relationships with all Distributors, Customers, Representatives and OEMs
Provide complete and accurate quotations to all customers
Review specification documents and provide a product offering based on customer needs
Provide quotations on all customs, power, specialty, and non-system supported products
Offer guidance on technical questions, HPS capabilities, and product knowledge
Provide direction and support to Representatives on strategic pricing
Coach as needed on systems and HPS product offerings
Facilitate communication between HPS Engineering and the customer when needed
Develop regional target accounts and key customers
Communication and support on any customer issues that arise
Provide feedback from customers to assist in achieving territory sales plans
Assist in managing any large sales opportunities, new customers, and OEM development within the territory
Identify possible representative issues and opportunities for improvement
Collaboration in executing sales strategies that maximize margins and bookings
Provide training and support on new products and systems
Support all COD and POD opportunities
Develop a full understanding of all HPS products, how they are manufactured, the applications they are used in, and how to troubleshoot any potential issues
Serve as the first point of contact for all calls from the field
Configure part numbers based on customer’s application requirements
Provide technical information that cannot be found on the nameplate or in the installation guide
Guide technicians through electrical schematics and the wiring of any HPS part number
Provide troubleshooting for scenarios where the customer is having issues in the field – wrong voltage, no voltage, etc
Support Customer Service on filing FPRs, RMAs, and CARs
Provide complete order packets for custom products and projects
Provide support and training on catalog parts, custom products, and interpreting customer specifications
Offer technical support to customers as needed
Act as liaison between Customer Service and customers as needed
Work together to establish market pricing and institute price increases
Provide market feedback on HPS competitors, pricing, lead time, products, etc
Assistance with customer training on new product launches
Provide feedback and support on system upgrades
Provide support and communication on all PODs and CODs
Assist with the creation, implementation, and support of all sales plans
Identify and escalate any customer activities that may affect overall sales objectives

Required

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Technical or relevant field required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong attention to detail
