Data Center Operations Manager, Amazon Dedicated Cloud

Responsibilities

Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
Guide, train, and educate data operations technicians on the best practices related to all service owner issues
Manage and deliver mid-size projects
Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills
Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
Write and deliver performance reviews for staff

Required

2+ years of professional or military experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
2+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
2+ years of people management experience
A+ or Network+ or Security+, or AWS certification
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred

Experience with staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, and terminations
Knowledge of Linux/Unix Administration
Knowledge of hardware architectures
CCNA or equivalent level networking certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
