Mid LevelMynavi TechTus Vietnam is seeking a Japanese Project Manager to serve as a strategic liaison between Japanese clients and their software development team in Vietnam. The role focuses on translating business and technical requirements, facilitating collaboration across cultures, and ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
Information Technology & Services
Responsibilities
Act as a bridge between Japanese clients and the Vietnamese development team, ensuring smooth and accurate information flow
Collect, analyze, and define business and system specifications in close collaboration with clients
Visualize workflows, system features, and user experiences using tools such as Miro or Figma, etc
Communicate technical specifications to the development team and address any questions or concerns related to the project
Support local project management, assisting the team in tracking and coordinating tasks throughout the project
Follow project schedules and progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards
Be responsible for integrated quality control and change management systems to ensure final deliverables conform precisely to established project specifications
Coordinate between development teams and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Build trust with local team members and follow up regularly to ensure smooth teamwork
Explain Japanese business practices and background to the Vietnamese team, promoting cultural understanding and respect
Qualification
Required
Japanese nationality
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to the living and working environment in Vietnam
Long-Term Career Orientation: A desire to build and develop a career abroad, particularly in Vietnam
Personality and Cooperation: Positive, honest, able to work in a team, collaborate well, and respect the opinions of individuals from different cultural backgrounds
IT Knowledge: Solid understanding of core web application architectures (e.g., client-server, RESTful APIs), relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and fundamental IT infrastructure concepts (e.g., networking principles, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Development in IT: Aiming to accumulate experience and develop a career in IT, especially in a global work environment
Coding Experience: Experience in coding and implementing software systems
Management Skills: Experience in project management or leading teams, ensuring project progress and quality
Negotiation Skills: Ability to reach consensus between clients and engineers, resolve issues, and ensure requirements are accurately executed
Business Understanding: Ability to grasp the business structure and challenges of clients, and provide appropriate and effective solutions
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (TOEIC 700 or higher) or Vietnamese, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international work environment
