Education Management
Responsibilities
Develop and/or update existing course syllabus in consultation with the UCLA Extension Portfolio Director as assigned using approved syllabus template
Prepare course materials and learning assessments in Canvas
Communicate and teach the course objectives and the specific learning outcomes to students
For the 100% online instructional mode, hold once a week online office hours via Zoom for students to optionally participate to cover course related topics and Q/A
Weekly and preferably daily interaction with students’ discussion posts on Canvas to promote high engagement and collaboration for an optimum learning experience
Review students’ progress through the course and assign timely grading
Respond to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner
Enter final letter grades in a portal at the end of each quarter
Qualification
Required
MBA or MS in Project Management and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience OR, Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of relevant industry experience
Must be committed to the highest level of academic standards and integrity
Highly effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information
Highly effective interpersonal skills
Proficiency in the use of instructional technology and online teaching tools
Preferred
PMP Certification by PMI
PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) Instructor
Teaching experience at the College-level or higher
Experience designing curriculum on Canvas (or similar) and measuring student performance
