This hands-on position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems while supporting critical building operations.

Responsibilities
Maintain and repair air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and associated mechanical equipment
Troubleshoot customer service calls for temperature control issues throughout the building
Monitor and adjust refrigeration, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, boilers, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical HVAC system equipment according to scheduled programs
Analyze system operations to determine causes of problems and make corrective action recommendations to management
Capture and document all repair and maintenance data including material costs and labor efforts on work orders
Review system data and collaborate with Reliability and Operations Managers on maintenance changes and equipment upgrades
Maintain complete system documentation in central resource locations for all repairs and system changes
Conduct immediate work area cleanup, tool maintenance, and supply management after each task
Qualification
Required
High School diploma, state equivalent, or GED
EPA Universal Certification
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written reports
Computer proficiency for documentation and system monitoring
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces including closets, crawl spaces, and attics
Availability for call-in work and overtime as needed
Preferred
2+ years of related trade school training or equivalent experience
Boiler License
Previous experience with preventive maintenance programs
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
Background in commercial building HVAC operations
