Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineer LicenseNon-registered Engineering Experience

Required

Must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty

Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States

Three years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience

Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii

Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment

Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required
