Responsibilities

Provide administrative information and assistance to staff, supervisors, and managers of the Outer Banks Group
Provide customer service and support for the practical and technical aspects of office administration
Perform clerical assistance or technical work that requires knowledge of the procedures and techniques involved in carrying out the work of an organization

Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program
You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties
You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards
You may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with purchase authority
This position requires an ability to type at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors based on a five-minute sample
To qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service
Your resume must include hours per week worked
EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least four years of education above high school
You must include transcripts if qualifying for this position based on your education
Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs
Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection
You will be required to fill out a Declaration of Federal Employment, OF-306, prior to being appointed to determine your suitability for Federal employment
