Responsibilities

Provide virtual care and support to adult members through 30-minute video consultations and asynchronous messaging, focusing on:

Diabetes management and tools to improve daily habits and health outcomes

Health at Every Size (HAES) approach: managing diabetes without restriction or diet mentality, using a body-positive lens

Symptom management and ongoing education

Meal support and practical nutrition guidance

Blood sugar monitoring: reviewing logs, checking glucose levels, and understanding dietary impact

Gestational diabetes: addressing the influence of pregnancy hormones on blood sugar

Physical activity: creating sustainable movement routines

Capture encounter summary documentation in our practice management system, MPractice

Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team to ensure member needs are met, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups

Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model, providing culturally humble care and championing our belief that better outcomes for women and families mean a better world for everyone

Required

Hold one of the following credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

Must be residing in the United States

Must be in good standing with all applicable medical boards. No history of medical malpractice, disciplinary actions, or loss/restriction of hospital privileges

Possess the ability to provide direct member care for 5 hours per week. This is a part-time, independent contractor role (1099 position)

Must have 3+ years practicing as an independently licensed provider

Have 3+ years of prior experience in the telehealth space. Must be comfortable providing care through a digital health platform

Must be passionate about women's and family health
