Director Global FAE- Aerospace & Defense Segment

The Director Global FAE will lead the Global Field Applications Engineering team focusing on the Aerospace, Defense, and High Reliability market, responsible for developing strategies to maximize business opportunities and nurturing FAE talent.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of FAEs to achieve individual and team targets
Understand customer roadmaps, technology, R&D investments, and future needs
Partner with technical marketing team to help shape our roadmap to directly support our customers’ needs
Understand competitive landscapes at our global strategic customers and with support of FAEs and Technical marketing, develop strategies to win and drive new design-ins
Partner with sales leadership on regional FAE deployment to grow revenue at our focused accounts in Aerospace, Defense, and High Reliability markets
Build a high-performing FAE team by fostering individualized technical career development and nurturing future leaders
Streamline and continuously optimize the FAE role in the sales processes to enhance accountability and results
Ensure the ability of the FAE team to design-in the Infineon portfolio with a focus on Si/GaN/SiC power discretes, power multi-chip modules, memory, and Si/GaN power ICs
Instill a speak-up culture of collaboration, innovation, and resilience within your team
Establish and foster relationships with technical leaders within our focused accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
Demonstrated success in semiconductor solution selling (10+ years as a FAE) with a track record of managing and inspiring a high-performing FAE team (5+ years)
The ability to work with all levels of management and build positive relationships while having influence across the sales and marketing organization
The ability to prioritize and delegate customer technical questions based on ROI
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent
Experience with managing change to result in positive outcomes
Experience creating new roles, functions, and sales processes within a large organization
Strong ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively use key performance indicators to measure success
Good understanding of DC-DC, power management, and motor control applications
Track record of hiring and training FAEs that have resulted in successful outcomes
Ability and willingness to travel 30% of the time as necessary to achieve results for stated responsibilities
