Responsibilities
Estimate preparation and bid submission
Contract risk analysis
Business partner relationships
Budget preparation and buyout
Quantity take-offs
Preparing estimates up to $200,000,000
Schedule and manage resources required for estimating and bidding process
Review cost estimates of others to assure compliance with plans, specifications and jobsite conditions
Security of shop drawings and building materials samples
Cost accounting for materials owner billings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree
1-5 years' experience of estimating on Heavy Civil Construction projects
Knowledge of HeavyBid by HCSS or other Estimating software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Experience in large-scale heavy civil construction projects
Must have experience estimating projects in the heavy civil industry and/or TxDOT or DOT from another state
