They are seeking experienced Energy Auditors to conduct comprehensive energy assessments for residential and commercial properties, focusing on improving energy efficiency and cost savings.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site energy audits for residential and commercial properties
Perform blower door tests, duct leakage tests, and infrared thermography to assess building envelope efficiency
Evaluate HVAC systems, insulation, lighting, appliances, and windows for energy performance
Identify areas for energy savings, efficiency upgrades, and renewable energy integration
Provide detailed reports with recommendations for energy improvements and cost savings
Educate homeowners, builders, and business owners on energy efficiency best practices
Ensure compliance with local energy codes, RESNET, HERS, and other efficiency standards
Use GreenWorks' reporting software to document audit findings and recommendations

Required

Experience conducting energy audits, home performance assessments, or sustainability consulting
Knowledge of building science, HVAC systems, insulation, and air sealing techniques
Strong understanding of Texas energy codes and efficiency rebate programs
Ability to work independently and manage flexible scheduling
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Reliable transportation for travel to job sites within the assigned region
Must have liability insurance as an independent contractor
Ability to pass a background check (if required by clients)

Preferred

Certification(s) preferred: RESNET HERS Rater, BPI Building Analyst, LEED Green Associate, or similar
