Akur8 is a fast-growing Insurtech scale-up transforming insurance pricing with machine learning. The Account Executive will focus on building the business in Canada by identifying potential customers, managing the sales cycle, and building strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for owning your territory and the associated quota
Identifying new opportunities in Canada, but also exploring every segment and lines of business of your territory
Managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation, and managing the relationship post close, with a focus driving tight sales cycles
Pitching and negotiating with C-Level executives
Working on and submitting proposals, as well as negotiating contracts with clients
Building strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients
Thinking out of the box, suggesting new ideas and approaches to improve our product, based on client expectations

Required

+4 years of experience in sales
+4 years B2B tech sales experience, as a Business Development Representative / Account Executive
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
Proven expertise in prospecting and a track record of mastering sales strategies for complex, technical SaaS products
Ability to define tailored closing plans for each opportunity, with clear, proactive actions to drive success
Pioneer mindset, with the ability to research and identify potential customers
Familiarity with sales protocols and SaaS company processes, use of CRMs, slack communication, multi-teams interactions
Highly enthusiastic about technology
Highly empathetic to customers, with a proven track record of building strong champions and long-term customer relationships
Good self-management skills, efficient and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Humble, customer centric, and have a growth mindset
Willingness to travel for client meetings, events and internal gatherings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
Fluent in English
Employment status that will allow work from our Montréal office

Preferred

French proficiency is highly preferred
Experience working at a SAAS company
Technical fluency on topics such as cloud architecture, API and integration, IT project delivery
Insurance industry experience
