Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing mortgage documentation for property finance transactions
Support legal teams with all aspects of the conveyancing and financing workflow including document preparation, file opening, settlement coordination, and post-settlement activities
Liaise with lenders, clients, brokers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant settlements
Perform property title checks, handle disbursement calculations, and manage PEXA lodgements
Conduct legal administrative tasks such as compiling settlement packs, verifying compliance documents, and following up on outstanding conditions
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in digital case management systems and ensure procedural consistency
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and lender-specific requirements
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years' experience in a mortgage or property finance legal support role, ideally in an Australian jurisdiction
Strong understanding of Australian property finance processes and mortgage documentation
Familiarity with PEXA and state-specific land registry systems
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple transactions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Prior experience in a remote, high-volume, or outsourced legal environment will be viewed favorably
Experience working in a remote legal environment or high-volume processing team is a plus
