They are seeking a Full Stack Developer (Backend) to design and optimize scalable backend systems, develop efficient database schemas, and build secure APIs while collaborating closely with team members.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring high performance and fault tolerance across thousands of concurrently generated websites

Develop and maintain efficient PostgreSQL database schemas, optimize complex queries and JSONB operations, and ensure smooth handling of millions of records

Build secure, well-documented RESTful APIs to connect front-end systems, third-party services, and future AI integrations, with strong attention to authentication and rate limiting

Collaborate on AWS-based automation for deployment pipelines (S3, Lambda, CloudFront) and caching strategies to improve site generation speed and reliability

Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alert systems to identify performance bottlenecks, prevent downtime, and ensure data integrity

Work closely with the frontend developer and founder to ensure seamless system integration, participate in architecture discussions, and support DevOps or frontend needs when required

Required

Minimum 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong backend focus and proven record building production-grade systems

Advanced proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL, including async patterns, middleware architecture, and query optimization

Strong background in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, integrating with webhooks and third-party services, and ensuring data security and scalability

Solid Git/GitHub skills, familiarity with branching, pull requests, and collaborative coding in distributed teams

Preferred

Experience working with AWS (S3, Lambda, CloudFront), Redis or message queues, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines

Prior experience in high-traffic, lead generation, or marketing platform environments preferred, with the ability to write maintainable, well-documented code and thrive in a startup setting
