Responsibilities
Provide guidance and insights for improving the Monitoring and Observability platforms
Lead technical discussions and requirements analysis with the BPTs and development teams to ensure their needs are met
Develop and evangelize best practices for making systems and services measurable, collaborating with various teams for implementation and enablement
Determine best practices for collecting, aggregating, and visualizing collected metrics to enable the Product and Development Teams integrators with actionable insights
Participate in proof-of-concept exercises, engineering initiatives, and implementation projects
Design and collaborate on Managed Services encompassing areas such as log collection and analysis, operational metrics, distributed tracing, and continuous delivery
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or a related field), or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in Observability platform development and infrastructure engineering
Proficiency in application monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, and SQL
Prior experience in guiding the technical direction and implementation of Observability platform implementations, OpenTelemetry, and CI/CD pipelines
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to participate in technical discussions and perform requirements analysis to align solutions with stakeholder requirements
Strong problem-solving capabilities and a creative mindset for designing and implementing innovative solutions
Familiarity with both the operation and monitoring of Virtual Machines and Kubernetes
Preferred
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as Azure or GCP and hybrid environments preferred
