Have Halal, Will Travel is a marketing company seeking a Freelance Social Video & Content Specialist. The role involves creating engaging short-form videos from various content sources, optimizing them for social media, and monitoring their performance to achieve specific targets.

Responsibilities

Produce a minimum of 20 videos/month in line with the content calendar
Convert existing articles and legacy footage into engaging videos; integrate UGC where appropriate
Publish videos across social platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook) for SG/MY/ID audiences
Monitor performance daily; deliver weekly reports on views, engagement, watch-time, regional breakdowns, and provide actionable insights
Optimize videos for reach and engagement (target view-counts, regional relevance, Bahasa or English as needed)
Be available for onsite content capture at media junkets/store openings in Singapore as required
Maintain an organized asset library of footage, masters and templates
Work collaboratively during core overlap hours and self-manage for the remainder of your freelance hours

Required

Proven experience producing short-form social media video content (preferably for SG/MY/ID markets)
Skilled in video editing and production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut)
Analytical mindset: comfortable interpreting video metrics (views, engagement, retention) and producing insights
Based in Singapore and available for occasional onsite events
Able to commit approximately 3-4 hours/day on weekdays
Strong portfolio of previous work showing conversions of articles/footage/UGC into high-engagement videos
Self-motivated, organized and able to deliver to tight volumes

Preferred

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia or Bahasa Malaysia a bonus!
