Responsibilities

Lead the annual strategic planning process to develop a robust business plan, including: Identification of key product growth strategies in partnership with the Tech Center
SWOT analysis of the regional territory
Identification of emerging markets and growth opportunities
Territory forecasting and goal setting for individual account representatives
Conduct semi-annual and year-end reviews to measure progress against the plan
Manage relationships with large corporate organizations to ensure contract compliance and support business expansion
Engage corporate resources—Purchasing, Operations, Tech Center—to create competitive advantages in pricing and product offerings
Review contracts and terms in collaboration with Legal and align with manufacturer agreements
Maximize sales force effectiveness through coaching, performance feedback, and skill development
Facilitate individual business plans for each representative, including time and territory management and account strategies
Identify training needs and provide ongoing mentorship by traveling with representatives
Oversee performance appraisals and contribute to hiring decisions
Provide sales support staff with timely market insights
Attend industry conferences and trade shows to strengthen market presence
Entertain customers and prospects within company guidelines to build relationship

Required

Bachelors degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, biomolecular, industrial) or life sciences (chemistry, biology, environmental science) is preferred
5 years of sales management experience in the water treatment/chemical industry required. This includes experience with wastewater treatment, boilers and cooling towers
Must have a valid driver's license and have an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
Must possess computer skills and be proficient at Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and job specific software
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English
