JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a SHORAD Senior Analyst to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8) in military advisory roles related to the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The role involves managing Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) programs, providing analytical and technical support for capability development, and coordinating with various Army commands to align modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

Manages Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) programs, including Avenger, Sentinel, and Stinger systems

Provides analytical and technical support for capability development, modernization planning, and SPAR/POM integration

Develops information papers, briefings, and program assessments addressing cost, readiness, and capability gaps

Coordinates with ASA(ALT), T2COM, and ARSTAF to align SHORAD modernization with Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense priorities

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business

A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties

Demonstrates expert analytical and technical skills in short-range air defense (SHORAD) systems, sensors, and intercept/engagement architectures

Proficient in evaluating capability performance, sensor-to-shooter integration, sustainment, and industrial-base resiliency

Skilled at modeling effectiveness, lifecycle cost analysis, and producing clear, data-driven briefs and recommendations to support SHORAD modernization and fielding decisions
