Responsibilities

Leads the development and documentation of analysis regarding foreign weapons. Performs and oversees a broad range of electronic and aerodynamic analysis and/or engineering assignments entailing unique problems, creative solutions, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches and or new technology
As a recognized expert provides engineering and technical guidance, and advisory support. Leads and assists on projects and/or major project phases for broad and varied operations
As a recognized expert, manages analytic partnerships. Initiates, develops, and directs technical intelligence research and analysis toward determining the limitations of foreign aerodynamic systems
Ensures the quality and reliability of civilian, military, and contractor-produced Scientific and Technical Intelligence(S&TI) by leading comprehensive reviews and assessments; this includes rigorous validation of methodologies, data sources, and analytical conclusions to guarantee accuracy and compliance with established intelligence standards
Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development organizations, and participation in formal training programs

U.S. Citizenship Required
All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Must be registered for Selective Service
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
Employee must maintain current certifications

Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
Must have a bachelor's degree in related disciplines such as electronics engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering
Prolonged periods of sitting, reading, and intense data analysis are typical. This work is mostly sedentary performed in an office setting. Irregular hours and overtime may be required
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position
Examples of creditable experience include: a mastery of one or more professional or administrative fields
The expert applies experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods; makes decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies and programs
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the AirForce Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in this vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating

A master's degree in a technical related field is highly desired
