Responsibilities

Design and implement optical filters which meet customer requirements for consumer electronics, bio medical devices, gas monitoring, fluorescence microscopy, astronomy, light sensing, projection display, and other applications

Develop and/or improve processes for manufacturing optical coatings

The assignment will encompass optical coating design, substrate preparation, substrate / wafer handling, vacuum-based coating processes such as sputter deposition, post-coating optical metrology, and other processes

Required

Minimum B.S. in Material Science, Physical, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering or related field

Proficient with computers: strong proficiency with MS Excel and Office required

Experience in vacuum engineering, vacuum processes, thin film deposition and optics highly desirable

At least 10 years of experience required
