S+H Search is partnering with a highly respected CPA firm expanding its Financial Statement Audit team. They are seeking a Senior Associate Auditor to lead financial statement audit engagements, supervise staff, and manage client communications while ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff team members and manage workflow on client engagements

Lead key audit sections, perform substantive testing, and review workpapers

Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and audit reports in compliance with GAAP

Evaluate internal controls, perform analytical procedures, and assess financial statement risk

Mentor, guide, and train staff to help them grow professionally

Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and client communications

Handle a broad range of accounting and audit responsibilities with increasing autonomy

Required

2–3 years of financial statement audit experience in a CPA firm (RSM, Moss Adams, or similar) – internal audit or corporate finance experience does not meet requirements

CPA license or actively pursuing 150 credit hours + exam eligibility

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Experience preparing client financial statements, footnotes, and audit documentation

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; CCH Engagement, CaseWare, or similar audit software experience is strongly preferred

Excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and workflow across multiple engagements
