Summer Intern: Volunteer & Tour Programs

Barnes Foundation is seeking a Summer Intern for their Volunteer & Tour Programs. The intern will work with experts to develop and present tours, coordinate with various departments, and create training materials for docents.

Education

Responsibilities

Plan and develop enrichment opportunities for docents through trips and lectures
Coordinate tours with neighboring departments
Create files and training documents for distribution
Learn how to navigate ticketing and scheduling platforms
Facilitate requests for corporate clients
Collaborate with Research, Archives, and Education to provide training material
Plan and participate in a curator led Q&A session
Master the mechanics of a tour and present at Calder or Barnes

Required

Eligible interns are either an undergraduate or graduate student or a recent college graduate
Criminal Background-National and Credit Report
Ability to occasionally transport up to 25 lbs. of files, equipment or supplies
Ability to move to access files, equipment or supplies
This position requires extended time on the computer
Clearly communicate in person, by phone, and by video conference
Communicate with others in conversational and written English
Position operates in the foundation's buildings and on the foundation's grounds at the Philadelphia campus
Position requires extended time on the computer
