Responsibilities

Will work under the supervision and mentorship of another Senior Project Manager or lead project manager, or subject matter expert, depending on the task at hand
Ability to review and comprehend departmental and functional requirements to ensure expectations of tasks assigned. Departments include but are not limited to Planning/Technical Services, Design, Environmental, Utility, Railroad, Permits, Right-of-Way, Construction, etc
Other duties as assigned which may include FY call for project plan creation, assisting with consultant services research, consultant open house preparation, project meeting attendance and observation, field site visits attendance and observation, enhancement to consultant library, Right-of-Way engineering project tracking, etc

Required

Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Public Administration, Business Management or related field
Basic knowledge of the mission and role of INDOT
Basic understanding of state policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Knowledge of state government structure, administrative procedures, and the legislative process
Ability to research, draft, and edit data and reports
Analytical skills
Ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to operate computer tools
Good research and writing skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a wide variety of contacts
Confidence and ability to learn on the job and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
