Yazaki North America is a global leader in vehicle power and data solutions. They are seeking a motivated Summer Intern in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to assist their engineering team with various projects and support daily tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist our engineering team with many on-going vehicle wire harness and power distribution developments

Sample building for testing and analysis and updating Engineering Tools

Support our engineering’s in their daily tasks (Wire Harness Design, Benchmarking/Teardown activities, future model vehicle architecture studies, and Yazaki product promotion

Reference/sample part organization & cataloging

Success Metrics: Positive customer presentation/ tech promotion on existing long-term strategy item and/or updated engineering tool increasing team efficiency

Collaboration: Work closely with EDS planning and development engineers, engineering expats, sales, and program management

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringMechanical EngineeringAnalytical SkillsCritical ThinkingMS OfficeProgramming LanguagePower Apps/BIPresentation Skills

Required

Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period

Degree/experience related to the position

A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026

Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities

Preferred

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, junior or senior preferred status

MS office, any programming language & power apps/BI nice to have but not required
